The same is true for growing any business. While technology has definitely changed the topography of growth, the map to generate a solid business foundation remains the same.

- Know your client/customer
- Know your competition
- Know your value proposition
- Create a plan to convert ideas into attainable goals
- Use technology that allows your customer’s journey to be easy & get results
- Create systems for ‘Rinse & Repeat’ results
- Surround yourself with people who question and think differently than you do
- Use a mindset for growth when faced with adversity
Now many women business owners think, “Yes!” I’ve got this!…
… but how you achieve these 8 items on your fundamental map is really important for women who don’t have a huge team or a marketing department, IT department, business development…you catch my drift 😉
So how do women starting as solopreneurs grow into developing extraordinary businesses that generate profit month-after-month without burning out or losing faith?
Here are the 3 Strategies For An Extraordinary Business:
1) Make a commitment to learn what your customer needs depending on what mindset they’re in.
Successful women business owners understand that psychology influences buying. People hate being sold to, but they love buying things. What successful business owners do is they map out what their customer needs in relationship to what the situation their customer is in. I call this the buyer’s situational mindset.
Successful business owners research and do the work required so that they understand what motivates their customers to buy. Knowing this one factor increases sales consistently.
2) Work with people who question and give honest feedback
Have you ever worked really hard to create something for your business and had a bunch of people look at it and say, “that’s great!” So you take it to your market and then all the sudden you’re met with crickets … no one wants it? But how can that be??
Not everyone is your ideal audience or customer, but when you create content ask for feedback from people who will question and who tell you, “you might need to rework this area.” Invite these people into your world because you’re not going to get everything one hundred percent on your first try.
Most small business women don’t have mentors or external people giving constructive and needed feedback so they create what buyers want.
If you surround yourself with ‘yes people’, meaning no one challenges your images, content, sales pages, website, automation or customer journey – you’re going to end up with products and services no one wants. That will be time, energy and money spent creating something that will be set to fail.
While it sucks to have someone give you feedback that’s short on accolades, it’s a requirement successful business women look for.
Successful women want to fail fast. That means find the holes, learn how to plug them and then generate content that not only resonates with your audience but that makes them take action!
3) Develop a mindset for successful outcomes, especially in adverse situations
This one might be the trickiest of the three, but there are specific ways to think, that consistently lead to extraordinary success. What you think about, day in and day out, directly affects your behaviours and actions.
While successful business owners still doubt themselves, struggle with confidence and question their skills and ability, they use specific strategies to change their thinking when in the face of doubt, fear and adversity.
Mindset is an instrumental difference that I consistently see as a determining factor between success and failure. What you think about in the privacy of your own mind affects how quickly you build your business.
I have yet to meet a successful business owner for example, who spent time learning to execute a specific strategy turn around and blame someone else for why they failed.
Extraordinary businesses don’t start off as an instant success. Start with customer-centric understanding, surrounding yourself with people who question and give honest feedback and adopt a mindset that generates success. Those three strategies will lead you to long-term business success and a vibrant lifestyle no matter what your age, strengths or personality.
